With the application of a special nano-coating, Water-Safe electronics can be created by depositing a barrier to reduce electrochemical migration (e.g. corrosion) allowing electronics to be exposed to immersion and other partial exposures. The use of nano-coatings mitigates device failures from inadvertent exposures. Note that Water-Safe electronics is not the same as water-proof in which devices are intended for immersion and underwater operations.

  • Nano-coatings are commonly used in devices which have stringent thickness tolerances like in many hand-held devices or hearing devices where conventional conformal coatings add too much thickness to the device and they lose their sleek designs and tight packaging requirements.

Let’s engineer something better, together.
