Custom Bio-Consumables

IST provides custom coatings for various consumables including all types of glass, microwell plates, even single-use surgical instruments. An example is a polystyrene microwell plate which is coated with a thin ALD oxide to impart glass-like properties followed with a Poly-Ethylene-Glycol (PEG) overcoat to prevent protein adherence.

The construction of special bio-engineer surfaces can be achieved using sequential depositions like Biotinylation on an aminated surface – all created in the vapor phase.
